About Us

About Tathagata Farm

Stay with Us – Nature, Comfort & Authentic Himalayan Living

Stay with Us – Nature, Comfort & Authentic Himalayan Living

Tathagata Farm was originally established as an organic farming experimental farm and is a member of the Small Farmers' Organic Tea Growers Community at Mineral Spring, Darjeeling.
Since 2005, Tathagata Farm has welcomed travelers and opened its facilities to promote agro-tourism in the Darjeeling hills. The farm offers guests an opportunity to experience rural Himalayan life while learning about organic farming, tea cultivation and the traditions of the local farming community.
Mineral Spring, historically known as Lebong & Mineral Spring Tea Estate, was among the early tea gardens established during the British period. After independence, the tea estate was eventually abandoned and closed. Today, the area is associated with an independent community of small farmers who continue to cultivate tea and other crops.
At Tathagata Farm, our aim is simple: to provide travelers with a comfortable stay while connecting them with nature, farming, local culture and the people of Darjeeling.
