Majitar is a border town in Sikkim connected by a suspension bridge over the Rangeet River. The trek begins from Farm at around 9:00 AM. The route gradually descends through the valleys of Ghattay, Takdah and Glenburn Tea Estate, passing Maneydara and the Rungdung River. Before reaching Majitar, the trail includes approximately 20 minutes of uphill walking through a reserved teak forest.
Once you reach Majitar, you can enjoy lunch at a local restaurant or by the river before returning by taxi.

The Village Walk is ideal for travelers who want to explore the rural villages around Darjeeling, meet local farmers and experience everyday life in the hills. During the walk, you may meet local growers cultivating tea, ginger and cardamom while enjoying views of the surrounding Himalayan valleys, Darjeeling town and Kanchenjunga range.
The trail includes both uphill and downhill sections and passes through small hamlets before reaching a local farmer's home, where a pre-ordered lunch is served.
